A few Saturdays ago, my dad hosted our annual family reunion. This year, we held it in the community center down the block from our house. Dad and I took our dog, Daisy, with us while we were bringing supplies to the building, but we kept her home once the reunion started.
See that second-floor window at the top right corner? Daisy will occasionally stick her front paws up on the window sill to get herself a good view of the sidewalk and driveway so she knows who's coming and going. Well, at one point while we were leaving to return to the community center, we looked up and saw Daisy having jumped entirely on the window sill.
That's not the craziest part. Some time later, we were preparing to to take the family photo outside when I saw none other than Daisy run up onto the center's porch to greet me. I thought Mom must've brought her over to be in the picture, but no, she left her at home. It wasn't until we got home that we discovered the Daisy-sized hole in the second-floor window screen.

And yes, she got to be in the family photo.
The past week or so ago, my family took a trip down to a fancy-shmancy resort called Big Cedar Lodge in Missouri where we stayed for a week with my sister's families. My nephew Sammy's so sweet when he's not being tempramental about not having juice or cheese or something like that, which doesn't happen too often. And his little sister Maddie's real cute when she's not screaming like a banshee... which happens more often.
Amy and Jason had the main bedroom to themselves and Maddie while Mom and Dad slept in the bed in the secondary room with Sam and me sharing the sofa bed next to them. Wow, toddlers sure take up a lot of bed space. Maggie and Zeke slept on the sofa bed in the living room. We did quite a bit of interesting stuff like float down this artificial stream call the lazy river and rent a little pontoon for the lake. We also visited our grandparents and invited them over to celebrate Grandpap's 85th birthday. Personally, I thought the place was great except for the fact that Wi-Fi costed 7 bucks a day. ![]()
On the way to Big Cedar, we listened to Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince on Dad's iPod so we could watch the movie later and be more prepared for it. We watched Order of the Phoenix on DVD a few nights before heading to the theater after we got back. Personally, I thought the movie was pretty good overall, though it felt kind of lacking at places. On the way back, we listened to a book called 1776, which is about the military engagements that occured on the year... 1812.
Also, on our way back, we spent the night at our cousins' house where I found out that one of my cousins has his own deviantART account. ![]()
Now is the time I return to my county community college to further my post-secondary education. I have two Tuesday and Thursday classes--Mathematics of Business and Early United States and Pennsylvania History. Both sound doable from what we were told on our first day. I have yet to start my Monday and Wednesday classes, Photoshop Prepress and inDesign Advanced, but both are taught by a teacher I've had for many of my previous Adobe-related classes. Here's to another year of school.
You can ask me up to THREE questions. No matter how crazy, inappropriate, or random they are. I will answer 100% truthfully (or as close to the truth as I can)
Now here's the dare. You must put this in your journal. See what other people will ask you.
Nah, you don't have to.
If you want this meme, you'll have to steal it from me.
